La Maison Patisserie was founded in 2011. They first established their patisserie in Medan. La Maison Patisserie was started by a passionate pastry chef from Medan who pursue her dream in patisserie at Le Cordon Bleu, Australia. Now, they just open their first branch in Grand Indonesia, Jakarta. Spreading the sweetness to the capital!
La Maison Patisserie has various fine and freshly baked artisanal pastries. But, they are well-known for their macarons. La Maison Patisserie in Grand Indonesia is a cafe as well. There are almost 20 seats in the cafe with various pastries you can choose and coffee from Common Grounds.
Overall, the macarons are great. Knowing that it’s made by an Indonesian, it includes in the must-try pastry list! Price wise, it’s pretty reasonable too. Box of 6 is for IDR 115k and box of 12 is for IDR 220k (excl. tax). Their most popular flavour is Salted Popcorn and Salted Caramel. But, they have new ones like Flora Technica which is an intense floral & blueberries notes with the burst of rich milk chocolate and a signature espresso roast from Common Grounds, I can totally taste the espresso!
Other than that, you must also try Earl Grey & Mandarin. It is bold, fragrant and uplifting. A classic rich Ceylon tea with zesty bergamot, paired with rich milk chocolate and refreshing mandarin. The tea and orange blend perfectly in this piece.
Other flavours are Matcha, Jasmine & Rose, Milo Milkshake, Pineapple Crumble (I guess this is like nastar), Ispahan (homemade sugar-free raspberry jam, lychee ganache infused with rose water), Nutella (no explanation needed, huh?), Toast (Medan’s local favourite srikaya jam with salted butter), Triple Vanilla, Valrhona 70% Guanaja (arguably the best dark chocolate in the world!), Thai Milk Tea, Peanut Butter & Jelly / PB&J, Ovomaltine, Watermelon and the unique flavour is Salted Egg Yolk.
It is hard to choose. I know.
